Everything I have read, seen, and in any other form found out about in relation to °
jark's loss of $ will go here. D:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
edit:
Everyone needs to remember to be CIVIL. I've seen quite a few bits of rash things goin' on. D: It needs to cease immediately. Actions such as those will NOT get the point across.
I guess everyone's heard about °
jark getting the boot, I suppose.

Wtf is going on with da. Apparently it's because da is getting too 'coporate' for their own good. °
jark repeatedly posted comments about how we may never get any answers. I kind of agree, because the way I've seen da run, I really think this may not be brought up publically, although it should because °
jark was the co-founder.
Besides now no more yellow aliens.

!!

has also resigned from his position in staff. Actually I think some others did too. edit:

has resigned.

has resigned.

I am optimistic about this, hell ... this is about the first time ever I've been optimistic about anything. But I, personally, will not rest until the second coming of $jark." -*

We can only guess, the more silence on this simply breeds more confusion." -`

The weekly informational update is going to continue uninterrupted.
Generally speaking when people freak out to this extent we give it a few days for people to calm down and think rationally so look for whatever statement will be made in a couple of days when people are in more of a mood to listen." -$

It's easy for people to miss out on how incredibly expensive it is to run a site as massive as deviantART has become- without "going corporate" (as we did a long time ago) we wouldn't even be here holding this conversation." -$

More commenting, less art. More discussion, fewer prints. More community, less corporation." -=

They seem to think they can, we may not be able to bring him back, but we can let them know we are not happy and that we are a very big part of this websites success and we want our voices not only to be heard, but for them to actually listen." `

Jark's mom `bookdiva had posted - There is no 'I' in team! I had to remind her, there is an 'm' and an 'e' though

It's not easy being yellow,
For a fellow, who's now mellow,
Has been stripped of his rank.
He's our leader, he's our Jark,
He will lead us through the dark,
With the light that shines within his Jar(k)." -~

I disagree. The founders obviously did not want to disclose the reason. Administration is like management--it is perfectly legal and acceptable for them not to disclose the reasons for the happenings. We don't "deserve" to know exactly why this happened.
I've never heard of this happening on dA before, and since its a co-founder its obviously a decision a LONG TIME IN THE MAKING. I really think its well thought-out--and definately none of our business.
The least we can do for everyone is not cause a huge fuss or anything." -=

"
The rift between community and staff has been growing a lot recently, it never used to be like this, the staff were part of the community and did everything they could for it, but the sites changing, and i'm not sure if it's for the better. I've followed dA for many uears and it's never been this bad before, I have always stood behind the staff as much as possible but I don't think I can this time
The business always used to just be a way to fund the commuinity and keep it alive, now it seems to be very money driven, the site isn't the top priorty anymore, this is a very sad day." -=

"
He's [spyed's] getting awfully lot of angry messages, but it's not surprise. What happened is both unbelievable and incredibly stupid. Jark = dA, so kicking him out isn't just one less admin, it's losing a big part of what dA is. I doubt they'll give him his status back though, turning back would be difficult at this point. But let's hope for the best nontheless." -=

"
It's leaking out, and that's scary. This is DA's greatest low of all time, community-wise. I can't believe staff are resigning from their positions too! That's dedication and anger for ya.
We are indeed losing everything this site once stood for; and all triggered by demoting one single person. Too bad that one person was the SECOND founder robbed of his status!" -~

I will be around deviantart and the forums for a while until this whole thing ends, which Im sure will also spell death the deviantART as we know it, and rise to deviantCORP." -=
